A Prayer for _____ in Need

Insert the name of one you are praying for in the blank spaces

Lord, we enter Your holy place. We come to you seeking divine guidance.

You are God all by Yourself, You don’t need any help. Lord, help ____ take his/her hands off the problem and let him/her submit it to you. Show him/her how to cast his/her cares on You.

Lord, we bind the feeling of being overwhelmed by this problem.

Anxiety and depression does not reside in ____. Your Holy Spirit does. ____ is not helpless in his/her trial, since it is You who fights our battles and leads us from triumph to triumph (2 Corinthians 2:14). We are able to endure and prevail, not by our will or might, but by Your Holy Spirit (Zechariah 4:6).

We are leaning on Your promises. For you said that the “prayer of the righteous avails much” (James 5:16); and Lord, we are righteous through You.

Father, Your word also says, “When thou passes through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee; when thou walks through fire, thou shall not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee” (Isaiah 43:2).

You are always with us, even to the end of the world! (Matthew 28:20)

Lord, reveal to ____ that the more that he/she leans and depends on You and meditates on your Holy Word, the better his/her circumstances will get. Lord, thank You for always hearing ____’s cry. We know that You will never leave or forsake him/her (Hebrews 13:5), and that You are closer to him/her than his/her own breath.

Lord, we invite You to take over as he/she is unable to solve this problem on his/her own strength. There is no problem too big for You, Jesus. Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal. You’ll keep ____ in perfect peace if he/she keeps his/her mind on You (Isaiah 26:3).

Lord, if it be Your will, send someone to help ____ through this trying time. Lay it on their hearts to bless him/her in whatever way You choose.

We ask that You overshadow ____, cover ____, keep ____, Jesus, as he/she goes through this test.

Lord we minimize ____’s dilemma and exalt You. This difficulty is minor in comparison to Your holy power.

Lord, You are good, You are the Good Shepherd, Master, Counselor, Very Present Help. We declare that ____’s circumstances are changing for the better. Thank You for working things out for his/her good. For You know the plans that You have for ____, plans to prosper and not to harm him/her (Jeremiah 29:11). Thank You, Father, in Jesus’ name, that Your word will not return to You void (Isaiah 55:11).

Amen.

How to get to heaven

Do you know what it means to be a Christian?

The Bible says:

1. God created you to have a relationship with Him. So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him. (Genesis 1:27)

2. But because of sin, you have infinitely offended God. For all have sinned and fall short of God’s glorious standard. (Romans 3:23)

3. This offense of sin carries with it a present separation and, if not dealt with, the ultimate separation of death. But your iniquities have separated you from your God. (Isaiah 59:2) For the wages of sin is death. (Romans 6:23)

4. But God, in His great love for you, took the initiative to restore your relationship with him. But God demonstrated His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)

5. Jesus, God’s Son, removed the offense of your sin and made reconciliation possible. For He (God) made Him (Jesus) who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. (2 Corinthians 5:21)

6. OUR PART is to accept God’s gracious gift of forgiveness by embracing His Son Jesus Christ, by faith. God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. (1 John 5:11-12)

One way to express your faith and your trust in Jesus is with a prayer like this:

Dear God, I want to be in a right relationship with You. I understand that I have offended You by my sin. God, please forgive me. Forgive me through Your Son, Jesus. I accept His sacrifice for me. I trust Him right now as my personal Savior from sin. God, thank you for taking the initiative to save me. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
